Branch 525 Los Angeles, CA by Sarika Gotz Hello from California! It's been a long time since I have sent in an article for the William Penn Life. One of our members sent in an article a few months ago. If she would like to help me report on our local activities, I would greatly appreciate it if she would call me. We have many Hungarian functions here in Southern California, and I do go to most of them. All of the Hungarian clubs recently hosted their annual harvest dances and many organizations conducted programs remembering the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Soon Christmas will be here. To celebrate the season, Branch 525 will host a Christmas party for children and adults on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bloomington Hungarian Club. I hope to see many of our members and their families there. Jolly Old St. Nick will be there. I wish all of my friends in our William Penn Fraternal Family a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. If any Branch 525 members have news they would like to share, please call me at 909-981-4743. We have such a large branch. There must be some news we can publish in the William Penn Life. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank A blessed Christmas to all! The officers of Branch 800 extend to all members and their families all the joys of this holiday season. May this be the merriest of all seasons for you. Soon, the world will celebrate the birth of our Lord, which is the true meaning of Christmas. A special holiday greeting to all our members who are ill. Our prayers are with you during this beautiful season so that you may recover from your illness. It is hoped that brighter days are on the horizon for you. May the good Lord bless you all. Happy birthday to member Angela Ventresca who is celebrating her 85th birthday this December. She tells me that she is enjoying good health and keeps busy by taking care of her home and yard. We wish many years of good health to you, Angela. The Home Office and your branch are making sure that those most in need are helped during the Christmas season by conducting the annual Holiday Basket program. Just a little reminder to all branch members that all our branch meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Religious Education Center, 873 - 27th St., Altoona. We hope to see you at our next meeting. If you need life insurance for any member of your family, why not look into what the WPA has to offer? I assure you that your premiums and coverage will be suited to your needs. Call Bob Jones at 814-942-2661 for more information. Here's wishing you all a very healthy, happy and prosperous year in 2005. 18 Williu Pell Life, December 2004
