Branch News Yuhasz, Ethel Molnár, Steve Orto, Sherwin Vine and all those I missed. May you have many more. Our branch will again have a bus going to the WPA picnic this Septem­ber. The bus will depart on Friday, Sept. 12, from the Hungarian Re­formed Church and return on Sept. 13 following the picnic. The cost is $50 for WPA members and $159 for non­member guests. This price includes round-trip motorcoach transporta­tion, a one night stay at the Ramada Inn in Somerset, Pa., full buffet breakfast Saturday morning and admission to the picnic where you'll enjoy great Hungarian food, music and refreshment. Thanks to all of you for remember­ing Tommy through his recent illness. He treasures every card and prayer. He is still having a tough time, but he's getting there. Carol Truesdell is doing great following her recent heart attacks. Thanks for your concern. I have seen Betty and Rey Holguin, and they look great, too. Maybe the tide is turning. We sure hope so. The day's events begin at 1:00 p.m.- Sunday, Aug. 17 - St. Stephen Feast Day at St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave. A special Mass and procession will be held, followed by a luncheon and entertain­ment. For more information, call the church office at 330-743-1905.- Sunday, Sept. 7 - Heritage Day hosted by the Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave. There will be plenty of artifacts on display, plus food and music. Doors open at 1:00 p.m. Once again a wonderful job was done by our fellow WPA members who handled the Annual Bowling Tournament and awards banquet. It was very enjoyable to visit with everyone. This year we shared a table with Branch 14 members. We hope Richard and Caroline had a wonder­ful time on their Alaskan cruise. We're looking forward to the WPA picnic at Penn Scenic View on Sept. 13. Reservations for Branch 28's bus trip to this event are being taken now. Branch 34 Special congratulations are sent out to branch member Beth Henke and her husband David on the recent birth of their son Evan Kinsey Henke. Evan was bom May 6,2003, tipping the scales at 8 pounds, 4 ounces and stretching the tape at 22 inches. He is the grandson of Dan and Janet Primm and the great-grandson of Michael and Margaret Stefan. Janet and Dan, remember: spoil him like crazy because you can always send him home. Branch members that celebrate their birthdays in July are Mate Fischer, Paul Goettler, Yvonne Mayor, Geza Nemeth, Brandon North, Frank Petohazi, Janet Primm and her dad Michael Stefan, Stephen Spence, Jonathan Balia, Susan Karafa, Charmaine Masztak, Andy McNelis, III and a special happy 6th birthday to my grandson Donovan McNelis. We hope this year brings much health and happiness to all of you.
