I had an occasion to meet with the Rev. Imre Bertalan, George Dózsa and Michael Walker. It was nice to spend some time with them. I wish them much success with their new project. Holy Cross Hungarian Catholic Church has many upcoming events. A wedding anniversary Mass and dinner will be held April 21, with Mass at 11:00 a.m. and dinner at 12:30 p.m. Also, a Hungarian Festival will be held June 8 and 9 at the Yack Arena in Wyandotte. Branch 18's schedule is as follows:-- Branch meetings on April 19, May 17 and June 14. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at the Allen Park American Hungarian Reformed Church.-- Our sold-out Traverse City trip, June 5 to 7.- Join Hands Day, June 15.- WPA Annual Golf Tournament, July 12 and 13, Indiana, Pa. — Our branch's third annual picnic, Sunday, Aug. 4. — A trip to the WPA picnic at Penn Scenic View, Saturday, Sept. 14.-- Our 50-year member banquet, Sunday, Sept. 22. Members of the Hungarian American community in Columbus, Ohio, recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of Hungarian hero Louis Kossuth’s visit to their town. Soon the sun will be shining and we will be thinking of far-away places like Akron, Ohio, New Brunswick, N.J., Indiana, PA, and Penn Scenic View.
