WPA prepares for 59th Annual Bowlin; Tournament PITTSBURGH -- Do you like having a good time with your friends and family? Do your children like having fun? Would you like a chance at winning $10,000, or a "treasure chest" full of great surprises? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you and your family won't want to miss what the WPA has planned for this Memorial Day weekend. All members and friends of the WPA are invited to join us for our 59th Annual Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days to be held May 24 to 26 in Akron, Ohio. The tournament weekend will begin Friday, May 24, with the annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. The meeting will take place at the Radisson Hotel Akron City Centre. After the meeting, all bowlers and guests are welcome to a reception in the hotel, featuring plenty of food, refreshments and good old-fashioned fraternal fellowship. The adult bowling tournament will begin Saturday, May 25, with the team event and continues on Sunday, May 26, with the doubles and singles events. All bowling events will take place at Stonehedge Lanes in Akron. Also on Saturday, the WPA will host its Sixth Annual Juvenile Fun Event, a bowling event designed specifically for the enjoyment of children age 15 and under.
