Branch News Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank We are ready to observe the last of the summer holidays. Labor Day this year falls on Sept. 2. It will be a big day for a cookouts. Hope each of you will be included in one of these. Summer vacations are winding down now, and it is hoped all members and their families had an enjoyable summer. Branch 800 is getting ready to resume our monthly branch meetings after a nice three-month break. We will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 7:00 p.m. in the social hall of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Altoona. Our focus will be on planning the branch activities for the remainder of the year. All members are encouraged to attend your branch meetings. Branch 800 meets on the first Tuesday of each month from September through May. Let us pray for branch members who are ill, including longtime member Richard Byrne. He has been admitted to Garvey Manor Nursing Home in Hollidaysburg, Pa. Branch 8114 Clarion, PA by Noreen Fritz Our branch's annual steak fry will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 6:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Chinch, Main Street, Clarion. It is always enjoyable to meet friends and neighbors at this annual event. I hope to see again all of you who attended last year's steak fry.
