Branch 8 Johnstown, PA by Dorothy Kedves Branch 8 held its annual Christmas party Dec. 2 at the United Church of Christ. Everyone enjoyed Santa's visit, and the gift bags were just wonderful. The slinkies were a big hit, as were the sunglasses. A delicious lunch, which included many special treats, was served. Ernest Kedves played Christmas music as Santa led everyone in singing. Election of branch officers took place before the party. Elected were: Sándor J. Yuhas, president; Mr. Kedves, vice president; David S. Kozak, treasurer; Dorothy Kedves, secretary; and Mary Groshans and Elaine Engle, auditors. A special "thank you" to the Home Office for all the special gifts and calendars. Branch 10 Barton, OH Branch 40 Martins Ferry, OH Branch 349 \ Weirton, WV___^ / by Ethel Fodor & Teresa Toth Branches 10, 40 and 349, in conjunction with the Ohio Valley Hungarian- American Culture Club, hosted their annual Christmas party Dec. 8 at the American Legion Hall in Martins Ferry, Ohio. A group of happy youngsters sang "Jingle Bells" when they first heard the ringing of Santa's sleigh bells, and they became wide-eyed with wonder and delight when Santa and Mrs. Claus came into the room. Each youngster had a turn sitting on Santa's lap to tell him what each wanted for Christmas. Santa was a big hit with the children, passing out WPA bags filled with goodies and an envelope containing a $5 bill. Recently elected to serve as officers of Branch 13 were: (front, l-r) Elsie H. Radvany, secretary; Frank J. Radvany, president; Joseph Hamari, vice president; (back) Steven Beke, auditor; Margaret Hamari, auditor, and Anthony C. Beke, treasurer. The children made themselves, their parents and their grandparents proud when, after dinner, they got on the dance floor to dance the csárdás to the music of the Tokay Orchestra. It was such a delight to watch them. For some of the children, it was their first attempt at performing the dance. The three branches thank the Board of Directors and the Home Office staff for making this holiday season so wonderful. Also, many thanks to Gabe and Irene Rozsa who made the party a success for the youngsters. Í Branch 13 ^ V______Trenton, NJ y by Elsie H.
