Branch 14 Cleveland, OH by Dawn D. Ward Branch 14 is sponsoring an evening for its adult members at the Gund Arena to see "Champions on Ice" featuring Olympic skaters such as Michelle Kwan, Brian Boitano and Elvis Stojko. The show is Thursday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m. There are a limited number of tickets available, so call Branch President Caroline Lanzara at (216) 581-8979 as soon as possible for reservations. Congratulations to Branch 14 member Natalie Bota who made the dean's list at Baldwin Wallace College. Natalie is the goddaughter of former Branch 14 Secretary-Treasurer, Stan Dorulla. She is a freshman majoring in English and is a member of an improv theatre group at Baldwin Wallace. Keep up the good work! I have received many inquiries for the old yellow cookbook with the green trim. If you are willing to part with yours, please call me. The books showed the names of the contributors on the menu, and, therefore, have sentimental value to the families of those contributors. Please get your date books for these upcoming events:- March 14, branch meeting;-April 20, branch meeting;- May 20, branch meeting;- May 25 to 27, WPA Annual Bowling Tournament in Toledo, Ohio;- June 8, branch meeting;- June 12 to 14, Branch 18 trip to Mackinac Island. We are also planning to celebrate the WPA's-115th anniversary with a dinner, Hungarian music concert and dancing on Oct. 14. We'll fill you in on the details later. Holy Cross Hungarian Church also has many events. On Sunday, March 18, beginning at 1:30 p.m., the church will host a commemoration of the 1848-49 Hungarian revolution. The spring card party will be held March 25, and the Hungarian Festival at the Yack will be held June 9 and 10. Please support these functions. If you don't they will be no more. Branch 18 Secretary Rose Antal is working on starting a ladies auxiliary. Stay tuned for info. Bowling tournament forms will be out soon. I will be happy to help you form teams. Toledo is our sister branch. We should have a wonderful time there. Plan on joining the fun. Our Charity-of-the-Month was Christnet. Our hands-on charity was Presbyterian Village Senior Center.
