WPA heads to Toledo for its 58th Annual Bowling Tournament PITTSBURGH -- Do you like having a good time with your friends and family? Do your children like having fun? Would you like a chance at winning $10,000, or a "treasure chest" full of great surprises? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you and your family won't want to miss what the WPA has planned for this Memorial Day weekend. All members and friends of the WPA are invited to join us for our 58th Annual Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days to be held May 25 to 27 in Toledo, Ohio. The tournament weekend will begin Friday, May 25, with the annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation. The meeting will take place at the Clarion Hotel. After the meeting, all bowlers and guests are welcome to a reception in the hotel, featuring plenty of food, refreshments and good old-fashioned fraternal fellowship. The adult bowling tournament will begin Saturday, May 26, with the team event and continue on Sunday, May 27, with the doubles and singles events. All bowling events will take place at Imperial Lanes in Toledo. On Saturday evening bowlers and guests will gather in casual attire for the bowling * tournament awards dinner at the Clarion Hotel. The evening will feature a pre-dinner cash bar, dinner and door prizes. A special children's menu will be available for dinner guests ages 3 to 12. The evening will also feature the popular auction-raffle. This time, the lucky winner will receive a wonderful "Treasure Chest" full of... well, we're not allowed to tell. You'll just have to be there to find out. Trust us, you won't want to miss it. Packets containing information, entry forms and hotel and awards dinner reservation forms were recently mailed to all 2000 team captains. Entry forms for the adult tournament and Juvenile Fun Event, as well as the awards dinner reservation form, can also be found on the next several pages of this issue of the William Penn Life. The deadline for submitting entries for the adult tournament is midnight, April 13,2001. For the Juvenile Fun Event, all entries must be received by April 20,2001. The awards dinner reservations must be sent to the Home Office by May 4,2001. All hotel reservations must be sent directly to the Clarion Hotel Westgate, the headquarters for this year's tournament.
