Branch 34 Pittsburgh, PA By Andy McNelis First of all, I want to thank everyone for their cards and prayers during my illness. Your thoughtfulness meant so much to Marguerite and me. On Dec. 9, our branch was again joined by Branch 71 Duquesne to celebrate the annual family Christmas party. What a great turnout we had. The 47 young members and their families were entertained by the magic and illusions of "Doc" Dougherty. Then, to the sounds of Christmas music, the children participated in a number of games for The children attending Branch 336’s Christmas party await their turn to tell Santa their Christmas wishes. which prizes were awarded. To spread the joy of the season, a door prize raffle was held for the not so young members in attendance. After lunch was served, our special guest, Santa Claus, arrived. There is no sight in the world like the look on the face of a child when Santa enters a room. Santa sat and talked with each child and asked if they were good or bad and what they would like for Christmas. Then his "elves" passed out gifts of candy, stuffed animals and envelopes to all the children. Both branches thank the Board of Directors and the Home Office staff for making this holiday season so exceptional. Also, many thanks to all who helped make the party a success, especially Jim Deak who gave up his afternoon to make others happy. Happy birthday to branch members Margaret Klein, Ann Liptak, Marianne Bashur, Andy Fekete, Tilly Morvay, Carm Deblasio, Bill Mayor, Joan Nagy, Mary Nagy and National Director Mike Kara.
