WPA wraps up Christmas Child "A SIMPLE SHOE BOX WITH SIMPLE GIFTS can have a huge impact on a child's life." Christmas 2000 was a little brighter for 526 children in need of hope, thanks to the fraternal spirit and generosity of WPA members and friends. The heartwarming success of our Second Annual Operation Christmas Child campaign is truly astounding. This project has now come to an end for the year 2000, and it's time for our final accounting and "thank you's." Our goal was to collect 400 gift-filled shoe boxes, which Operation Christmas Child (OCC) would distribute to needy children in crisis situations around the world. Instead you donated a total of 526 boxes. All of the filled shoe boxes were delivered on Nov. 15, 2000, to the OCC distribution center located at the Northway Christian Community Center in Wexford, Pa.
