For Starters Enjoy a week away from it all at our annual Hungarian Language Camp LOOKING FOR a different type of vacation trip this year? Why not spend a week at the WPA's Hungarian Language Camp? The camp will be held Aug. 5 to 11 at Penn Scenic View, located amidst Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands. You've seen the ads for Penn Scenic View: "A Perfect Place to Get Away from It All—Any Time of Year." Well, it's true. The beauty and serenity of our camp will make the world outside seem a world away. Making the experience even better are all the warm, friendly people you'll meet. Our instructors, cooks and other camp personnel will make ou feel most welcome. People who ave attended previous camps have formed fast and lasting friendships with their fellow students. With all this going for you, it seems like a bonus that you'll learn many of the basics of the Hungarian language. We can't promise that you'll be fluent in Hugarian by the end of the camp, but you will leave with the ability to carry on simple conversations. On top of all this, it's an affordable vacation. The cost is only $225 per person. The package includes 25 hours of instruction from experienced teachers, lodging for six nights, all meals and all instruction materials. The camp is perfect for those who know no Hungarian and those who have a limited knowledge of this beautiful language. Instruction will be offered at both beginners and intermediate levels. To enroll in our Language Camp, you must be an adult life-benefit member of the WPA age 18 or older. To register, send your name, address, telephone number and WPA certificate number to: Language Camp, William Penn Association, 709 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. A deposit of $50 per person (made payable to "William Penn Association" must be included with your letter to reserve your space. Deadline for reservations is July 1. For more information, call us tollfree at 1-800-848-7366. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHIU) we’re on our way. This year’s campaign is off to a flying start, thanks to the generosity of a few early birds. Our goal is to top last year’s total of 526 gift-filled shoe boxes. Will YOU help us do it? It is SO easy to participate in this worthwhile project. Just fill an old shoe box with things children need and like, wrap it up, and send it to us. We’ll see that your gift gets to Operation Christmas Child who will see that a child living in a crisis situation somewhere in the world will receive your gift at Christmastime. If you’re coming to our golf tournament, bring your shoe boxes with you. For more information, call our Home Office toll-free at I -800-848-7366.
