At the branch's February meeting our members approved our annual donations to the Huntingdon Prison and Blair County Jail. The money is used by the chaplains at these facilities for their spiritual work with the inmates. David Greiner was installed as branch auditor. Mike Tomcsak, Joan Mauerman and Jodi Dues represented the WPA and Branch 590 at the funeral of Mary B. Stelkovics on Dec. 9 in Delray Beach, Fla. Our condolences to the Stelkovics family. Mike Tomcsak is recovering from knee surgery on Jan. 10, and he would like to thank all those who sent cards and phoned. Our good friend Ernie Mozer is also on the mend after knee surgery in New Jersey. Get well wishes to Bill Becze who was hospitalized recently. I spent Thanksgiving in Crawford, Texas, at the home of my son Danny. I had a full week, attending Joanie's soccer game and Jamie's basketball game and being the subject of "show and tell" at Joanie's fourth grade class. My daughter-in-law Judy arranged a full make-over for me, including a massage. I felt like I was queen for a day. Needless to say, I had a wonderful trip.
