Please pray for the eternal rest of our departed members. MARY B. STELKOVICS DELRAY BEACH, FL - The Association was saddened by the recent death of Mary B. (Vasas) Stelkovics, wife of former National Secretary Albert J. Stelkovics. Mrs. Stelkovics, 85, passed away on Dec. 6,1999. She was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Bridgeport, Conn. She worked as a legal stenographer for many years before marrying her husband on Oct. 18,1941, in St. Stephen's Hungarian Church in Bridgeport. She was a fun-loving, caring woman who devoted her time and energy providing a warm, loving home for her husband and their only daughter, Kathy. Her four grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first greatgrandchild, Ryan, who was born the day before she passed away. After Mr. Stelkovics retired, the couple moved to Delray Beach, Fla., close to her brother and sister and late brother-in-law. Mary was an active member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dean Eitel of Chicago; four grandchildren, Jill Eitel, Susan Eitel-Stack, Steven Eitel and Christine Eitel; a great-grandson, Ryan; two sisters, Margaret Varga and Ann Sucheczki; a brother, Julius Vasas; a brother-inlaw, Walter Stelkovis; a sisterin-law, Mary Upright; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Vasas, and two brothers, William and Joseph Vasas. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Dec. 10,1999, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. Entombment was in Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
