«It Branch News our branch and to the WPA during his more than 50 years of service and for getting me involved in our branch and the WPA. Mr. Szemes, we will miss you. We all wish you and Elsie many good years to come. • We are enrolling new members at Branch 76. The newest are George Kerner and his grandson, Joseph. I want to remind our readers to have their nephews and nieces insured by us. Our rates are unbelievably low—$25 a year for $20,000 of insurance, as well as potential scholarships. Our adult rates are competitive, too. Just call me at (215) 357-4516 to learn more. Several golfers are planning to attend the golf tournament this year. If you want to join us, give me a call. Deadline for entries is June 11. She has a full head of black hair. Her proud parents are Michael and Kim Damon of Pittsburgh. Her grandparents are Pam and Dave Damon of West Chester, Ohio, and James and Diane Carr of Canonsburg, Pa. Congratulations to Jodi Dues for being named to the dean's list at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She will be a junior in the fall. Branch 800 Coordinator Robert Jones (left) and David Greiner enjoy the branch’s recent spring pizza party. We just returned from the Florida Fraternal Congress meeting held at Cocoa Beach, Fla. Michael Tomcsak was reelected as a director for the Florida Congress of Fraternal Insurance Counsellors. The WPA sponsored a display explaining all of our Association's plans and benefits. The meeting is a very informative gathering. Some of the fraternal societies which belong to the Florida Fraternal Congress are larger than the WPA, but I think we have the best scholarship plan. The Congress awarded four $500 scholarships to students living in Florida and attending Florida schools. Normally, only two scholarships are awarded, but extra money was raised through a raffle for a hand-crocheted afghan. A dinner-dance was held on Saturday night, and a group of doggers provided entertainment. Michael Tomcsak presented 150 teddy bears to Chief Richard Widerholt of the Brevard County Volunteer Fire Company-Rescue Squad. Welcome to our newest member, Michael Joseph Addandolo. He is the great-grandson of Joseph and Mary Mekler. For all your life insurance needs, please call Michael Tomcsak at (941) 858-8071. f Branch 800 Altoona, PA J By Vincent Frank Sunday, June 20, is set aside to honor all fathers.
