With the approach of the bowling tournament in Pittsburgh, we at Branch 34 are looking forward to meeting new friends and visiting with old and dear ones. We hope your travel is safe and uneventful. Birthday wishes for April go out to Anna Kubus. Members celebra­ting their birthdays during the month of May are Andrew Vámos, Caroline Mayor and Elizabeth Csupak, a longtime member residing in Florida. Elizabeth is celebrating her 91st birthday. God bless you with many more. From one of our older mem­bers to one of the youngest, Aaron Fischer will celebrate his first birthday in May. A very special birthday wish to my wife Marguerite, who will turn 50 years young May 19. Thank you, my dear, for sharing 30 of those years with me. ITs been wonderful. Last, but not least, Lou Kubus, who is also celebrating a birthday in May, was recently elected to the WPA National Auditing Committee. Congratulations and good luck. Speaking of Lou and Anna Kubus, on May 3 they will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. God bless you two. It does not happen very often that a couple reaches such a milestone. ( Branch 98 ^ \ Bethlehem, PA J Congratulations to Branch 98 member Judith (Borso) Paul who was recently named Coach of the Year by the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association. Judy is in her 11th sea­son as head coach of the University of Rochester Yellowjackets tennis team. Her selection follows Rochester's third straight second-place finish at the NYSWCAA Championships. Her teams had compiled a 106-35 dual match record entering the 1998-99 season. Over the last three seasons, the Yellowjackets have been one of the dominant teams in New York State tennis, going 37-7 in dual matches since the start of the 1997 season. Judy is a 1972 graduate of Penn State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and health. She has coached basketball, tennis, volleyball and track and field and has taught physical education at the scholastic level. She has been a member of the New York Central Western Board of Women Officials in volleyball and basketball and was elected president of the NYSWCAA following the tennis championships in October. Judy is also a tournament level tennis player. She won the 1997 District Senior Doubles Champion­12 William Penn Lile, May 1999 Coach of the Year Judy (Borso) Paul, a member of WPA Branch 98 and tennis coach at the University of Rochester, was named Coach of the Year by the New York State Women’s Colle­giate Athletic Association.
