During William Penn Association's fraternal events, it is very heartwarming to see true fraternalism at its best." The National Vice President-Secretary’s Address to the Convention by Richard W. Toth, FIC, FLMI Welcome and good morning: I would like to take this opportunity to thank the William Penn Association Board of Directors for the confidence and trust the Board placed in me in 1996 when they appointed me to the office of national vice president-secretary of the William Penn Associaiton. For the past three years, I have worked diligently with my fellow officers to ensure the continued success of the William Penn Association. During William Penn Association's fraternal events—such as the bowling and golf tournaments, Hungarian language camp and juvenile Christmas parties-it is very heartwarming to see true fraternalism at its best. I have met and worked with many caring and dedicated members and Home Office employees at these fraternal events and have listened to their thoughts and suggestions. I am very grateful for all of their help, support and friendship. In addition, I want to thank my wife, children and family for their love and support. I have always worked in the best interest of the William Penn Association to ensure that the William Penn Association torch will continue to burn brightly for many years to come. And, now, I would like to read a few greetings I received (Editor's note: the following are excerpts from the greetings read at the Convention): "/ am delighted to welcome the delegates and guests of the 34th General Convention of the William Penn Association to the City of Pittsburgh on Sept. 6,1999.
