The Best of Hungary Awaits You Now is the time to join the June trip to Hungary. This WPA-sponsored "Best of Hungary" tour still has space available for anyone who wants to join the tour. By calling Fugazy International Travel toll-free at 1-800-828-4488, you can register for the trip, which begins on June 10 and concludes on June 24. The June tour is a 12-day, 10-night fully-escorted itinerary which includes most meals, all the sightseeing and visits to more than 14 cities in Hungary. The cost is $2,849.00 per person, which includes roundtrip airfare from New York via Malév Hungarian Airlines. Special airfare are available from other cities in the U.S. The tour will feature deluxe motorcoaches throughout the trip and English-speaking tour guides. All hotel accommodations will have private baths. After arriving in Budapest, tour guests will travel to Godollo to visit the castle. After lunch, you will continue to Eger for dinner and an overnight stay. The next day you will tour Eger then continue to Tokaj for lunch and a winetasting before arriving in Debrecen for dinner and an overnight stay. The next morning you will tour Debrecen University, the Great Reformed Church and the Deri Museum. After lunch, you will visit Mariapocs, then return to Debrecen for another overnight stay. The itinerary continues with a trip to Hortobágy where you will see a horse show and the Shepherds Museum. You'll also enjoy lunch at a csarda before going on to Kecskemet for dinner and an overnight visit. The next morning you will visit Kalocsa and then move on to Lake Balaton for dinner and a stay in Balatonfured. After touring Tihany, you will continue on to Herend to visit the world-famous porcelain factory and museum. Then it's on to Budapest for the beginning of a five-night stay. Your first morning in Budapest will include visits to Heroes Square and the National Museum. That night you will enjoy a dinner cruise on the Danube River. During the rest of your stay in Budapest, you will visit the Buda Hills, the Castle District, St. Stephen's Church and Gellert Hill. You will also enjoy a day-long tour of the Danube Bend, which will include visits to Szentendre, Esztergom and the Citadel. On the final evening of the tour, you and your tour companions will gather for a gala farewell dinner.
