Congratulations to Mike and Kim (Carr) Damon who were married April 18 at St. Ignatius de Loyola Church in Carnegie, Pa. Mike is a WPA member and my oldest grandson. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn-Meadow Lands. They honeymooned in Paris. It was a beautiful wedding and unforgettable reception. Plans are in the works for our branch picnic and bacon fry. If you have not signed up yet, please do so. Cards will be mailed out soon. If you have any news you would like to share, please call me at (941) 858-8071. The WPA bowling tournament was a tremendous affair. Hats off to all the workers. Everything fell right into place. The food was good and the prizes were very nice. The stuffed cabbages made by the Dayton women seemed very popular. The whole affair reflected true fratemalism. I especially enjoyed watching the children bowl. They put some of the adults to shame. The Crown Plaza Hotel was very accommodating. They even furnished shuttles to local houses of worship. I attended St. Joseph Church. It was beautiful inside and very bright. It looked like it was recently renovated. I enjoyed talking to Mo and Ethel Orbán from the Sharon, Pa. area and Vera and Art Szőke, Irene Nemeth and Elizabeth Matyi from Youngstown, Ohio. For all your life insurance needs, please call Mike Tomcsak at (941) 858-8071.
