NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - There’s good news for anyone considering joining the WPA-sponsored tour of Hungary and Austria in September.

First, the trip is a definite “go,” according to Frank Chrinko of Fugazy International Travel in North Brunswick, the agency booking the tour.

Secondly, space remains on the tour for anyone who has yet to make their reservations.

And, thirdly, the early booking discount of $ 100 per person will be awarded to all those making their reservations for the tour by June 30, 1998.

Anytime of the year is a good time to visit Hungary, but September is a particularly good time to do so. The weather during September is generally the best of the year. And, most Europeans have completed their vacations and have returned to work or school, meaning smaller crowds at the most popular tourist attractions.

You can visit many of those attractions during the WPA-sponsored tour of Hungary and Austria scheduled for Sept. 10 to 24. Both WPA members and non-members are welcome to participate.

The tour will leave from New York and arrive in Budapest,. Hungary’s beautiful and vibrant capital, where guests will enjoy a five-night stay. While in Budapest, you will be taken on guided tours of the city’s most famous and historic sights, including Parliament, Heroes’ Square, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion, and the Royal Palace.

WPA Recommender Program

The WPA will pay its members *12.00 for each applicant they recommend who is issued a permanent life insurance plan and *10.00 for each applicant they recommend who is issued a term insurance plan. You will also enjoy a sightseeing cruise on the Danube River and be given plenty of free time to explore Budapest’s many fine shops and restaurants.

Your travels through Hungary will also take you to cities of Sopron, Sárvár, Győr, Kecskemet, Szolnok, Hortobágy, Debrecen, Eger, Godollo, Szentendre and Esztergom. Along the way you will visit Lake Balaton, the Herend porcelain factory and museum, the Benedictine Abbey in Pannonhalma, the Tokay wine region and the Citadel.

The tour will conclude with a two-night stay in Vienna, Austria, known as the “City of Music.”

The price of the tour is $3,149 per person*, based on double occupancy. Single accommodations can be reserved for an additional $550 per person. But, remember,

those making their reservations by June 30 will receive a discount of $100 off the regular tour price.

The price includes roundtrip airfare from New York, all hotel accommodations and ground transportation in Europe, breakfast daily, nine lunches, nine dinners, a gala farewell banquet, the Danube cruise, all sightseeing tours listed on the itinerary, and all hotel and air taxes and service charges.
