Notice of Annual Meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. The next annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. will be held during the 55th Annual Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days in Dayton, Ohio, May 22 to 24,1998. This year’s scholarship meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza, Dayton, Ohio, on Friday, May 22, 1998, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. A cordial invitation is extended to you, your family and friends to attend our Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days weekend and enjoy this fraternal activity. We kindly ask for your continued support of our scholarship fund. As is stated in the By-Laws of the Foundation, any branch or individual donating a minimum of $100.00 is eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting. It is our hope that all of our branches and members will continue to support the Scholarship Foundation that has been established by our Association for the purpose of providing our young members assistance in attaining a higher education. As a parent, I know that many of you share a concern that our children receive the best possible education so as to take their place in society. All of us realize how important it is that our youth possess marketable skills which a good education can provide. Please make your donations payable to “William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc.” and send them to my attention so that I may report them at our Annual Meeting. All contributions, no matter what the amount, will be greatly appreciated. Over the years, we have given financial assistance to many of our young members who have gone on to excel in a variety of professions. We are proud to report that our Scholarship Foundation has an outstanding record of providing strong financial support in the form of scholarship grants. Since the inception of our scholarship program in 1972, a total of 2,482 grants worth $887,650.00 have been awarded to young members pursuing a higher education. Their successes-both as productive professionals and as adults of strong characterconvince us that our support of the Scholarship Foundation is just as important as the support we offer to our fraternal, cultural and heritage programs. By helping today’s youth, we are helping to better our society and our world. So, again, we ask our members and branches to join us in supporting our Scholarship Foundation. It benefits all of us.
