November 1997, William Penn Life, Page 7 In Memóriám MARIA DULI DUQUESNE, PA - Maria Kocsis Dűli, 99, a longtime member of Branch 71 Duquesne, passed away on Oct. 1,1997. She was the daughter of the late Janos and Elizabeth (Toth) Kocsis and wife of the late Mihály Dűli. She was bom May 31,1898, in Szabacz Mege Dombrad, Hungary, and came to the United States at the age of 15. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael. Survivors include two sons, George of Escondido, Calif., and Andrew of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Mary Olga Cherpak of Duquesne; 13 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchilden; and three great-greatgrandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Duquesne. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Duquesne. May she rest in peace. EDWARD HRDLICKA PITTSBURGH - The Home Office was saddened by the recent death of Edward Hrdlicka, stepfather of longtime Home Office employee Helen Werling. Mr. Hrdlicka, 90, passed away Oct. 23,1997, in Suburban General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He retired from the H.J. Heinz Company as a security guard. In addition to his stepdaughter, he is survived by his wife, Helen Cemy Hrdlicka; three sons; a daughter; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was private. May he rest in peace. ELIZABETH TOKI WINDBER, PA - Elizabeth Toki, 85, of Mine 37, Windber and a member of Branch 59, passed away Oct. 13, 1997, at Windber Medical Center. She was bom May 11, 1912, in Hungary, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Soltész) Sholtis. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Stanish and Helen Sholtis. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Toki; four children, Stephen G. of Mine 37, Patricia Albaugh of Edinburg, Va., Elizabeth C. Libby of Toms Brook, Va., John A. of Derry, N.H.; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Smoot, Kenneth W. Libby Jr., Kevin M. Libby, Linda M. Toki, Laura J. Toki, Leigh Ann Toki, Stephen G. Toki Jr. and Laura B. Toki; four great-grandchildren, Joshua A. Naderi, Jenna E. Smoot, Mark Smoot and Ryan Smoot; and a sister, Bertha Green of Stockton, Calif. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church where a funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 20. Interment was in the church cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church or the Scalp Level- Paint Ambulance Service. May she rest in peace.
