February 1997, William Pent. ^ In Memóriám ANTHONY G. NOEL STERLING, VA — The Associa­tion was saddened by news of the recent death of Anthony G. Noel, 85, a former special agent and the founder of Branch 590 in Cape Coral, Fla. He was born April 1, 1911, in Nazareth, Pa., and was a metallur­gist for Westinghouse Corp. in the Philadelphia area, where he lived. Mr. Noel was a special agent for Branch 76 Philadelphia and was instrumental in securing many new members for the Asso­ciation. After retiring in 1977, he moved to Cape Coral and formed Branch 590, where he continued to enroll new members into the Association. Mr. Noel was awarded the Illus­trious Member citation for his service to the Association. He was a delegate to many General Con­ventions. At the Association’s 32nd General Convention in 1991, he received a personalized plaque of appreciation for his many years of dedicated service to the William Penn. He is survived by his wife, Julia; a daughter, Katherine; and three grandchildren. Tony will be missed by many of his fellow William Penn mem­bers. May he rest in peace.
