On June 23, at the Greentree Marriott there was a party held in their honor. It was attended by many family members and friends. They are the parents of Joe, Tom and Branch 352 member Jim Triebsch of Phoenix, Ariz. May you have many more anniversaries to celebrate together. We hope to see you at the 13th Annual Golf Tournament in Columbus July 13. If you have branch news to share, call Dianne A. Charles at (412)221-5136. Branch 800 Altoona, PA By Vincent Frank Branch 800 President Ryan Christopher Miller, a senior at Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona, was the recipient of the branch’s annual bond award. This award is given to the male senior who earns the best grades in religion classes at the school. Congratulations, Ryan. He plans to study business at Penn State University’s Altoona Campus. We wish you much success. May God bless you. Mr. Miller is a product of 12 years of Catholic education. He is a member of Holy Rosary Church in Juniata. While at Bishop Guilfoyle, he played point guard on the first team in basketball. At graduation, he also received the President’s award for educational excellence and the Serra Club award in recognition of his altruism and positive attitude toward the ideals and objectives of the high school. Branch 800’s annual corn boil and wiener roast will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 6:00 p.m. in a reserved shelter at Highland Park in Altoona. It will be held rain or shine. This affair will be catered, so reservations are a must. To make your reservations, call me anytime at 695-0213. Children are encouraged to attend. Deadline for reservations is Aug. 4. Our members and friends always look forward to this branch function. Highland Park, overlooking the city, has always been a quiet place among the trees to enjoy friendship and the delicious food we always serve. We hope to hear from you soon and see you there. The branch congratulates those members observing birthdays and/or anniversaries during the summer months. Branch 8020 McKees Rocks, PA Congratulations to Branch President Bill Arbanas who was chosen by the Croatian Fraternal Union (CFU) as its representative in the 1995 Fraternalist of the Year contest sponsored by the National Fraternal Congress of America. Bill, a member of CFU, was honored for his volunteer efforts to aid the mentally retarded, the elderly, his church and his community. He received a beautiful certificate recognizing his efforts from the NFCA. This is one of many honors Bill has received over the years for his volunteer work. Joseph Jesso Theodore G.
