McKeesport, pa — Emily Jordanhazy of New Castle, Pa., was crowned Miss Magyar of Western Pennsylvania during the annual picnic of the William Penn Association Magyar Folk Dancers. Emily received a crown, banner, trophy, medallion, flowers and a $100 U.S. savings bond. A student at Mohawk J unior-Senior High School, she is active in track, swimming, and the ski club. She is the daughter of Edward and Gloria Jordanhazy. Crowned Hungarian Princess was Alyssa Leigh Trunzo, daughter of Jay and Cathy Trunzo of Glassport, Pa. Alyssa is a student at Glassport Central Elementary School and is active in Girl Scouting, softball and dancing. Miss Magyar’s court includes first runner-up Desiree Henderson of McKeesport and second runner-up Carriella Hallas of McKeesport. The Princess’ court includes first runner-up Jessica Caldwell of West Mifflin, Pa., and second runner-up Dori Messy of Pittsburgh.
