McKeesport, pa — Emily Jordanhazy of New Castle, Pa., was crowned Miss Magyar of Western Pennsylvania during the annual picnic of the William Penn Association Magyar Folk Dancers. Emily received a crown, ban­ner, trophy, medallion, flowers and a $100 U.S. savings bond. A student at Mohawk J unior-Senior High School, she is active in track, swimming, and the ski club. She is the daughter of Ed­ward and Gloria Jordanhazy. Crowned Hungarian Princess was Alyssa Leigh Trunzo, daugh­ter of Jay and Cathy Trunzo of Glassport, Pa. Alyssa is a student at Glassport Central Elementary School and is active in Girl Scout­ing, softball and dancing. Miss Magyar’s court includes first runner-up Desiree Hender­son of McKeesport and second runner-up Carriella Hallas of McKeesport. The Princess’ court includes first runner-up Jessica Caldwell of West Mifflin, Pa., and second runner-up Dori Mes­sy of Pittsburgh.
