July 1994, William Penn Life, Page 3 Branch News Branch 14 Cleveland, OH By Dawn D. Ward Branch 14 President Northern Ohio experienced record breaking temperatures above 90 degrees in June, but, luckily, the weather was perfect for the Branch 14 outing at Sea World on June 12. About 100 branch members enjoyed the day. Another outing to Northfield Park is being planned for the fall for Branch 14 members. Everyone who attended the spring trip to Northfield Park had a wonderful time, even though no one came home a big winner. The annual Branch 14 children’s Christmas party will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3. Mark your calendars now. Our branch meetings will recess for the summer months, but will resume Wednesday, Sept. 14. Have a safe and enjoyable summer. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI By Barbara A. House National Director What a bowling tournament! I am very proud of all the Branch 18 bowlers, especially the Branch 18 ladies. Special congratulations to the first place team which consisted of Emma Toth (captain), Emelia Blair, Helen Fekete, Betty Nemeth and Teri Vargo. Special congrats also go to Helen Fekete who bowled with her left arm in a cast. Talk about dedication! Congratulations also to my team for trying so hard and coming in second: Barbara A. House (captain), Mary Kaszonyi, Julie Chesley, Betty Holguin and Helen Molnár. Wait until next year. Two baskets of cheer were donated by Branch 18 for the scholarship dinner-dance raffle. The lucky winners were National Auditor Marge Boso and National Director Louis Fodor. Lou is really doing well and looking great—must be the special nursing from Ethel. Keep up the good work. Thank you to the team from Springdale, Pa.—Mary Wesoloski, Jennie Wislie, Stella Matis and Helen Gosciejew—for your thoughtfulness. Congratulations to all who participated and helped make this tournament a success. Special thanks to our wonderful Home Office staff and that hard working Ivancso family. It could not have been done without them. Immediately after returning home Andy Toth went into the hospital. It must have been the shock of the ladies winning. He is 'home now and doing great. Happy anniversary to Andy and Emma Toth celebrating 54 years together. You are very special people. Happy birthday wishes to Paul Johnson and Richard Fekete.
