Founded in 1954, the Ameri­can Hungarian Foundation is de­voted to furthering the under­standing and appreciation of the Hungarian cultural heritage in the United States. The Founda­tion opened the Hungarian Heri­tage Center in New Brunswick in 1989, where it maintains an ex­tensive archival and museum col­lection dealing with the history of Hungarians and their contribu­tions to American life since colonial days. Trade conference set for June 8-10 NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Busi­ness leaders from the United States and Hungary will gather June 8 to 10 for the Third Annual Trade 2000 Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick. The purpose of the conference is to promote mutually beneficial trade and economic relationships between American and Hungar­ian companies. The conference will include a product exhibition, symposium, pre-arranged business partner­ship meetings between American and Hungarian companies and a special day-long workshop on Hungarian and American busi­ness practices. The Trade 2000 Conference targets U.S. and Hungarian busi­nesses from the food, food pro­cessing, agriculture, agro-pharma­­ceutical, bio-agriculture and related industries. Trade 2000 is a program of the City of New Brunswick and the Sister Cities Hungarian Trade Fair Committee and is being co­sponsored by, among others, the Hungarian American Chamber of Commerce, Hungarian Mini­stry of International Economic Relations, Hungarian Embassy Commercial Office, Rutgers Uni­versity, and Hungarian Heritage Center of the American Hungar­ian Foundation.
