Branch 22 Roebling, NJ By Jennifer Emri Branch 22 Secretary Activities for Branch 22 are once again in full swing. Our big project this season is our Hungarian classes, which resumed in October. The beginners’ class is being held on Tuesday nights, the advanced class on Wednesday nights, at the Roebling library. Zoltán Emri, since he did such a terrific job last time, is teaching both classes again. Our beginners may have been a little rusty at first, but have definitey gotten back into the swing of things and are coming along in leaps and bounds. Our advanced students are having a great time conversing with each other and, once in a while, are picking up a new item or two. We plan to continue the classes until Christmas, then take some time off before resuming after the new year begins. Speaking of Christmas, believe it or not, it’s just around the COOKBOOK HUNGARIAN SPECIALTIES and OTHER FAVORITES Net proceeds to benefit the William Penn Association Scholarship Foundation DONATION: $5.00/copy Send check or money order to: WILLIAM PENN SCHOLARSHIP FUND P.O. Darago Branch 44 President It was the night before Halloween, and the William Penn group "Deadly Intentions” scoured the Akron Civic Center for clues to the vampire murder mystery, "Bloodhounds: Murder Mystery with a Bite.” We were joined by Don and Ruth Harris. It was Don’s birthday, and William Penn members Irene and Jack Lawrie of Apollo Beach, Fla., provided the tickets for Don and Ruth from the coupon which appeared in last month’s William Penn Life. The evening was a howling success. We were in the fourth row, center—perfect to find the murderer—but, as in any "whodunnit,” our lips are sealed (over our vampire teeth, of course). What fun! We wish every Branch 44 member could have been at the Akron Civic Center! Come join us at the final two social activities for 1992: •Sunday, Nov. 8, 2:00-5:00 p.m., 1643 - 13th St. SW, Akron. New Hungary video will be shown. Also, insurance meeting with Alan Szabó. Refreshments. •Sunday, Dec. 6, 1:00-5:00 p.m., CYO Hall (back entrance), Archbishop Hóban High School, 404 Elbon Ave., Akron.
