During the week, the students learned the basics about operating a personal computer and were given a chance to apply their new knowledge to several computer exercises. Fodor) Constitution Week set for Sept» WASHINGTON - Suppose there was no constitutional guarantee of freedom of assembly, and the existence of our Association depended on the whims of the regime in power, would the William Penn exist? Would our Association be able to promote fraternalism and the Hungarian heritage and accomplish our goals? Even though it has often been taken for granted, for more than 200 years the Constitution of the United States has provided protection to the American public, including the right of free assembly. The Commission on the Bicentennial of the United States Constitution is inviting you and all PITTSBURGH — If you missed out on all the fun of this year’s William Penn Caribbean Cruise, don’t feel bad — you have plenty of time to sign up for our next cruise in the spring of 1990. The William Penn is planning a wonderful, exciting seven-day cruise to the western Caribbean. Members will fly from Pittsburgh to Florida where they will depart for a high seas adventure which will take them to beautiful ports in Ochorios, Jamaica, Mexico and the Grand Caman Islands. Space will be limited, so anymembers of the William Penn to join with it in celebrating Citizenship Day, Sept. 17, and Constitution Week, Sept. 17 to 23. Citizenship Day commemorates the signing of the Constitution in 1787, recognizing particularly citizens who have become new voters and who have been naturalized during the year. Constitution Week is a national commemoration aimed at educating the public about the Constitution and how it affects our lives as citizens. The highlight of the week will occur on Sept. 17. At 4:00 p.m., the time of the signing of the Constitution, individuals and groups across the nation will simultaneously ring bells, chimes one who may be interested in joining our 1990 cruise should contact National Vice President Zoltán B. Emri, William Penn Association, 709 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15233. An itinerary and further details will be released in the near future. Long-range planners may also want to start thinking about joining the William Penn cruise to Alaska, tentatively scheduled for the spring of 1991. Details on this cruise also will be released in the months ahead. and carillons for 200 seconds. The celebration of the Constitution’s bicentennial began in 1987 and will continue through 1991. Each year, the Commission focuses on a particular theme, based on the events which shaped our government 200 years ago. This year, the celebration is focusing on the Executive Branch, marked by the first Presidential inauguration and administration, and the first Congressional sessions.
