Branch 15 Chicago, IL Frank Balogh, president emeritus of Branch 15, celebrated his 85th birthday Nov. 6 with a party at the Black Forest Restaurant. Among the many friends and relatives attending the celebration were representatives of four generations of the Balogh family: Mr. Balogh, his son Frank, his grandson Mike, and his greatgrandson Erick — all members of the William Penn Association. Mr. Balogh said goodbye to his parents, and Hungary, on Feb. 24,1924. It was a painful parting. His parents’ farewell words to him were: "Son, we cannot give you much, only a walking cane and a traveling bag. But, we ask you to never give up your honor for money, because money can buy you anything except honor.” Mr. Balogh promised he would keep his honor, a promise he has kept to this day. After living in Pittsburgh, he moved to Chicago in 1936 where he joined the then Verhovay Aid Association and purchased his first policy. By 1938 he had become one of the most active members of the Verhovay. In 1939 he was rewarded for his hard work when he was named one of the winners of a free trip to Hungary for Verhovay members. Since then Mr. Balogh has continued to promote the now William Penn Association with his utmost effort. Among the birthday gifts Mr. Balogh received was a map of Hungary, a present from the Association’s Home Office. The map was presented to Mr. Balogh by his nephew, John Rajkovacz, and Mrs. Rajkovacz from Milwaukee, Wise. Mr. Balogh thanked the National Officers, especially National Secretary E. E. Vargo and National Treasurer Frances A. Furedy, for the map. The gifts and the display of love from his family that day brought tears to Mr. Balogh’s eyes. He and his wife Mathilda thanked everyone for a memorable day. Happy Birthday, Mr. Balogh. May you enjoy many more happy years. Balogh Ferenc, a chicagói 15- os fiók hosszú even at volt elnöke (a mi Balogh Bácsink), 85-ik születésnapját ünnepelte rokonai es baratai koreben november 6-an a Black Forest Vendéglőben. A meghatottsagtol nem tudtam könnyeimet visszatartani. Balogh István unokatestvérem felesegevel szinten jelen volt Muskegonbol. A Vasmegyei címeren a kéményén golyamadar feszkel a mi falunkban, Csajtan, ami most Ausztriához tartozik es Schachendorf névén ismeretes. Az en időmben a négy iskola kéményén is gólya feszkelt, tálán ennek köszönhette a falu, hogy 1903-ban 30-an születtünk. Megegyszer a leghalasabb koszonetem!
