February 1987, William Penn Life, Page 7 Business News Sales department breaks records in 1986 By Daniel R. Wahl, fic, clu National Sale Director PITTSBURGH - The William Penn Association marches into 1987 after having celebrated the best year ever in its 100-year history. During the year we issued over $39 million of insurance, surpassing the record set in 1985. In 1986, the sales force also made a record 5,235 sales. With the addition of such innovative products as the 2-for-l Special Juvenile Plan and the continued success of the Single Premium Whole Life and the Provider Plan, the William Penn has continued to grow. Last year also represented the first full year of our new 1980 CSO products which were highlighted by reduced premium rates and a new Yearly Renewable Term policy. 1986 also featured the establishment of two new agencies -Orlando, Fla., headed by Ron Abels, FICF, and Chicago headed by John Rafferty. The addition of Matt Longobardi as agency manager in Bridgeport, Conn., helped to solidify the Northest last year. A renewed vigor toward the fraternal activities of our society has helped to attract many new members to the William Penn family. Our growth is expected to continue for years to come with anticipation of an exciting 1987 being the driving force. The William Penn Association is widely recognized by the insurance industry and other fraternal benefit societies as one of the most progressive fraternal societies in the industry with unlimited potential for growth and a genuine concern for its members. We lived up to those expectations in 1986. We will do our best to exceed them this year and in the years to come. The William Penn team is on the move.
