September 1987, William Penn Lif> age 11 In Memóriám MRS. ETHEL SABO ELIZABETH TWP., PA — Many members and friends of the William Penn Association were saddened recently by the death of Mrs. Ethel Sabo, wife of former National President John Sabo. Mrs. Sabo passed away July 31, 1987, at the age of 77. A member of McKeesport, Pa. Branch 226, Mrs. Sabo was a former employee at the Home Office in Pittsburgh. She came to be one of the most well-known and well-beloved members of the Association, a woman who will always be remembered for her warmth, friendliness and kindness. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sabo is survived by one brother, Elmer Halas. A Mass of Christian burial was said for Mrs. Sabo on Aug. 3 at St. Stephen’s Church. National Secretary E. E. Vargo and National Treasurer Frances A. Furedy led a delegation of the Association’s Official Family attending the funeral services. Entombment was in McKeesport-Versailles Mausoleum. We extend our deepest sympathy to Mr. Sabo. Those of us who were touched by Ethel will never forget her. MRS. AGNES PACK PITTSBURGH — Agnes Pack, past grand secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former Catholic Knights of St. George, passed away July 7, 1987, following a heart attack. She was secretary-treasurer of Branch 8021 for six years and treasurer of its auxiliary for 35 years. She held both positions at the time of her death. Mrs. Pack was a delegate to the Knights’ conventions for many years, an active member of the Pittsburgh district and a willing worker at all functions of the society. She and her late husband, Norman, also a member of Branch 8021, owned and operated a neighborhood store for 35 years until 1975. She is survived by two sons, William and James; a sister, Rita Cassidy; and 10 grandchildren, all of Pittsburgh. We ask our fellow members to pray for the eternal rest of Mrs. Sabo, Mrs. Pack and all our recently departed members listed below: JUNE 1987 8222 PITTSBURGH, PA Bruce, Margaret E. 8347 CHERRY HILL, NJ Miraglia, Michael J. 8369 PHILADELPHIA, PA Dolphin, Gerald A.
