Noel, residing at: 1323 S.E. 35th Street, Cape Coral, Fla. 33904. President, Rev. Arpad George, opened the meeting at 4:00 P.M., greeting everyone present. Visitors from Youngstown, Ohio, Michael and Joan Tomcsak, were warmly welcomed by the President and Officers of Branch 590. The Tomcsaks will be makjng Port Charlotte, Fla., their permanent residence. During our business meeting it was voted on to have our May 25th meeting combined with a picnic, since it would coincide with Memorial Day weekend. All present were in favor of having it on that date, Sunday, to be held at the home of Tony Noel. All William Penn members are invited, but you must let Mr. Noel know how many wish to attend. Write or call (813) 542-7049 to provide ample food and refreshments. Time: 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Our last attendance to the Naples Dinner Theatre was such a success that a motion was passed to repeat this delightful experience once again soon. Arrangements are in the making and membership will be notified about date and cost. Our District Manager, Anthony G. Noel, and his lovely wife, Elizabeth, have recently returned from their month-long vacation to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. They gave us a vivid and picturesque explanation of this once-in-a-lifetime journey to the other side of our World, Australia, where Elizabeth Noel’s brother and family live. It was summertime in December, January and school children were on vacation. The climate is hot and dry, but the nights are cool and comfortable. Their parks are beautifully maintained. Rosebushes and trees blooming everywhere in gardens and public parks. They mentioned that Hungarian, German, Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants are predominant nationalities in Australia. They enjoyed watching the native kangaroos hopping about in the wilderness. Tony and Elizabeth found the trip to and from Australia a long and tiresome journey and took a long time to overcome their jet lag. “There is no place like home,” echoed the couple. A reminder: For servicing your Insurance needs, contact branch manager Anthony G. Noel, 1323 S.E. 35th St., Cape Coral, Fla. 33904. Telephone: (813) 542-7049. Special Recognition There should be a special thanks extended to our office staff who have tirelessly with devotion spent their evenings at home preparing for the Founders Day Reception. They prepared plenty of delicious cakes and pastries, weeks ahead of the event. Thank you very much Bori Kerékgyártó and Helen Werling.
