PHOTOGRAPHY AND POSTER CONTEST The William Penn Association is joining with the National Fraternal Congress to celebrate its 100th Anniversary by requesting our members to participate in a photo and/or poster contest. — Rules follow. PHOTO CONTEST POSTER CONTEST Theme: Volunteerism: Joining Hands To Touch Lives Theme: Volunteerism: Joining Hands To Touch Lives Guidelines: Photos must communicate the theme showing branch members depicting how their services improve the community. Guidelines: Posters must be done by the entrant alone and must communicate the theme (as described below). Entries will be limited to one per person. Only amateur photographers can compete. (Amateur applies to a person who is not working as a professional, being paid for service rendered.) Eligible Exhibits: Who Can Sponsor The Contest: Only photos taken since January 1,1984 by an adult member (beneficial or social) are eligible. Entries can be in black and white or in color. Photo must be a minimum of 3" x 5" to a maximum of 18" x 20". No slides. Photo must be submitted as taken (not touched up). Any local lodge or a member-society of the National Fraternal Congress of America can sponsor a photo contest. The individual lodge makes the contest available to adult members (16 years of age and older). Judges: Only qualified, impartial judges will select the winners. No photos will be returned. Only one entry per person will be accepted. (Total Prizes: $1,450.00) 125.00 125.00 Eligible Exhibits: Posters must be poster board, cardboard or any similar material. Posters must be no larger than 20" x 20". Posters can be sketched, drawn, printed or painted with watercolors, paint, pen and ink, or crayons. Words, letters, pictures or other materials from newspapers or magazines can be used to depict the theme. Who Can Sponsor The Contest: Judges: Any local lodge or a member-society 'of the National Fraternal Congress of America can sponsor a poster contest. The individual lodge makes the contest available to young members and members’ children (in grades 3 through 8). Only qualified, impartial judges will select the winners. Their decision will be final. No posters will be returned. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Winners: National Fraternal Congress of America awaru winners will be chosen in three divisions: Division A — grades 3 and 4; Division B — grades 5 and 6; Division C — grades 7 and 8.
