Besides these, the Hungarian Ethnic Group of Western Pennsylvania is considering going to Hungary next year as a group. We are presently working on the new display booth concept and presentation as well as the Pittsburgh folk festival bazaar. There is a definite indication of interest among the youth members in wanting to see activities in the Hungarian arts and crafts. Alexander Bodnar is interested in possibly starting a class in wood carving, drawing, and ceramic in his building for the youth, temporarily will be held in St. Ellias, as is the Festival dance practices. The William Penn Association has always been a staunch supporter of our organization at the Parades and the Folk Festival and so are we of William Penn Association, through being active in both organizations. The group is interested in membership recruiting as well. Interested parties who want to pursue arts, besides folk dancing, could possibly find a home in Hungarian folk arts culture development at the AJB Arts Building which is located at 4804 Second Avenue. We are interested in all inquiries. Call 422-1886. Everyone is welcome and there will be further announcements about this on the New Hungarian Radio Program, Rozsa Sándor, WPIT-AM 73 at 3 p.m. on Sundays. Respectfully Submitted, Alexander Józsa Bodnár Publicity Chairman BRANCHES 8330-8340 Baltimore, MD By KATHRYN E. MAURER Branches 8330 and 8340 were delighted to have in their midst in November, John Kennawell, the Executive Vice- President of the William Penn Association and John Tusai, the National Fraternal Director. Their visit will greatly enhance our need to more quickly acclimate to our new Association since we previously were affiliated with the Knights of St. George. Mr. Kenawell and Mr. Tusai ably demonstrated their willingness to assist us in any way in blending into our new background, fraternally, and we are grateful to them for their efforts. Their appearance was arranged by Terry Tishner. In October we conducted our annual pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington. Msgr. Charles F. Muth, District Spiritual Advisor, is director of the pilgrimage involving parishioners from St. Rita’s. A number of them are members of the William Penn Association. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to pay tribute to the Patroness of the United States of America. Hopefully the number of pilgrims who attend will grow in the years ahead. It was a good way to call the Blessed Mother’s attention to the many petitions sent up to her. Members of Branches 8330 and 8340 attended a memorial mass at St. Rita’s Church in early November. The event included a breakfast at the beautiful Sparrows Point Country Club. Widows of branch members attended as guests. Bill Haroth, president of Branch 8340, recently underwent a replacement of a hip and hopefully the surgery will enable him to tie more active. Millie Zamostny, of Branch 8302 and recorder for the district, was installed as a eucharistic minister on Sunday, Nov. 10 at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church in Riviera Beach, Maryland. Our congratulations to her. Congratulations, also, to Peter Haspert who will be installed similarly by Msgr. Muth, pastor of St. Jane Frances. Branch 8330 held its annual Christmas bazaar and bake sale on Sunday, Nov. 17 in St. Rita’s auditorium. Vin Stone was chairman of the event. 7 Mayor’s#! City Parade Pittsburgh City Christmas Parade
