The Officers of our Branch served as the Committee in charge of all arrangements for the party and they really worked hard in making this the most successful event we have ever had. The guests, children and adults, began to arrive at 2:00 p.m., and by 2:30 P.M., the brightly decorated tables were filled. After refreshments for the adults, and orange drinks for the children, the program was opened by Barbara Botkin, Branch Manager, welcoming all those present on behalf of Branch 226. She then introduced a most delightful artist- Clown-Magician, Notso- Magnifico who entertained for an hour. We all were thrilled with his acts of magic and the children and Dan Wahl, agency manager enthusiastically assisted him in presenting some of his acts. Following the singing of Christmas carols, Santa Claus came and the children lined up to visit with him and to receive their gifts of candy and money. All present then enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon in true fraternal spirit! As in all good things, the party reached its end and, after many “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” wishes, mid hugs and kisses, our guests departed.
