By Bill Arbanas Branch 8020 McKEES ROCKS, PA — once again various members of Branch 8020 have been active in a number of community events, all intended to help our community and to keep the chapter in the forefront as a viable and dedicated entity within the community. Prior to the Easter holiday we joined with the Chamber of Commerce in sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt. More than 200 children were involved and in spite of the rain, it proved an overwhelming success. Our branch is proud of its outstanding relationship with the entire community. We are constantly aware of individuals and, or organizations deserving of recognition and just recently were presented a certification of appreciation of the Volunteer Firemen for their assistance at our annual Christmas parties for the retarded adults of a nearby Center. Receiving the certificate were Dennis Naughton and Don Zincars who are members of our Detroit Branch Plans Fund Raising Party Branch 18 DETROIT, Ml — At the behest of John Sabo, national president of the William Penn Association, Branch 18 will sponsor a fund raising card party on June 24 at the Branch 18 Social Club, 1410 Southfield Street in Lincoln Park, Michigan. A certificate was also presented to Mrs. Verna Arbanas for her dedicated loyalty to the chapter. She has served with distinction for many years. Verna is my wife and I love her dearly for being the very generous individual she is. Our son, Charles, is also an exceptional person and has likewise contributed significantly to the William Penn Association. Various chapter members recently attended a banquet for Father Thomas M. Kirby, who was leaving our community for a new assignment. He had been our friend for many years. We therefore presented him with a certificate of appreciation and a letter in which we expressed our thanks for his outstanding service. The chapter is now making plans for a bus trip to the Knights of St. George Home in Wellsburg. We remain active and devoted to our great fraternal organization, the William Penn Association.
