Home Office personnel visited Mt. St. George in Wellsburg, W. Va. in early December where a party was held for residents. The visitors were treated to a buffet luncheon prepared by the Mt. St. George staff. A special Christmas mass was con-celebrated by resident priest Fr. Frederick Becker and by Fr. Paul Bolvary, the latter of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Hungarian Church in Hazelwood, Pa. The Home Office choral group sang the mass and later presented a special carol program. President John Sabo extended a special Christmas greeting and presented gifts to the home, to the priests and sisters. Special guests from the Order of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart included Sister M. Thomasita, provincial; Sister M. Phillip, counsel member, and Sister Jeannine, from the Mother House in Reading, Pa. A donation to the Order was presented in the name of the Sisters serving Mt. St. George. Other guests included Helen Stipkovits, who sang two solos during the mass. She also accompanied the choral group as organist. Doris Sperlazza played the organ for the mass and Tony Filberto served as lector. John Gillespie, a volunteer at Mt. St. George and Eddie Dziadosz, a resident, were servers for the mass. The residents were visited in their modules by a very special guest, Santa Claus, assisted by Elmer Furedy, who gave each resident and the employees of Mt. St. George a Christmas gift and hearty holiday greetings. The Home Office Choral group sang Christmas Carols in each module. Not only the residents, but Home Office personnel and their guests, were filled with the warmth and spirit of the Holiday Season through the enjoyment and fellowship of the day’s activities.
