Violet B. Lenart Publicity Branch 249 Dayton, Ohio Our annual branch meeting was held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17th. The following were re-elected to serve for the ensuing year. President, John Motko; Vice President, Steve Horvath; Secretary-Treasurer, Anne Marie Kertesz; Auditors, Frank Hoffer and Mike Mayerchak. Former Vice-President John Dúsak requested not to be considered for reelection, as he was only one month away from his 90th birthday. The officers and members present extended their thanks to Mr. Dúsak for his many years of service and bestowed the lifelong title of Honorary Advisory Vice- President. Director Albert G. Kertesz announced that Columbus, Ohio has been awarded the site for the 41st William Penn National Bowling Tournament, to be held May 25, 26, 27. He has been appointed Co-administrator by the National Board of Directors and has indicated that the Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days will be one of the most enjoyable in our long history of this Fraternal gathering. Make plans now to attend this grand affair. At the conclusion of the meeting, our annual children’s Christmas Party was held along with the awarding of 50 year pins to Mrs. Margaret Horvath, of Kettering, Mr. George Krisko of West Alexandria, and Mr. Stephen Sabo, Jr., of Middletown. It was a pleasure having them and their spouses as guests of our branch. The 50 year pins were presented by Director Kertesz and Branch President, John Motko.
