Bob Segal. Age is no barrier to those who believe in Santa. After the entertainment was over, Marian Mozer lead the group in singing of songs. During the singing of “Jingle Bells’’ Santa (Mario Farinella) could be heard ho, ho, hoing in the rear of the hall. All eyes were fixed on him as he mingled with the group. The children were then asked to go and sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Their sincere answers couldn’t help but make you believe in Santa once more and bring back lovely memories when we were that age. All present were asked to remain afterwards for refreshments which were served by the wives of the Branch Officers. On behalf of all the new and outgoing officers of Branch 51 we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Joseph Totsky retained his position as President of the Branch. John Gardy and John Horwath remained as Auditors. Mary Miller was unanimously elected as Secretary-Treasurer. The Children’s Christmas Party was a huge success. Yuletide gifts were given to each child along with door prizes and refreshments. At our January 9, 1984 meeting President Joseph Totsky was presented with a 50-Year Pin. The National Officers and Board of Directors extend to him sincere thanks and congratulate him for his long time membership and services to the William Penn Association. It was a pleasure to work with Mr. Totsky as President and Auditor of Branch 59. We also wish to congratulate him and give him our best wishes. Happy New Year to you all. On approaching the New Year with renewed hopes for better understanding and peace in this troubled world, our most fervent wish is for this to transpire. Locally, we wish to recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts on behalf of those denied their freedom and human rights, our well known old friend Dr. Tibor Bodi. He dedicates his time and energy to the cause he truly believes in, with the support of his lovely wife, Frankie. We are proud to have you as members and as good friends.
