Andrew Hody of Somerset, New Jersey, has joined the agency ranks of the William Penn Association. Alex brings experience that is rich in fraternalism and insurance. Until recently, he was associated with Metropolitan Life in New Jersey and is highly qualified to service our members' insurance certificates and counsel them on their insurance and financial planning needs. Mr. Hody and his wife, Doris, reside at 155 Emerson Road, Somerset, New Jersey 08873. He can be reached at (201) 545-4794. Andrew Tatar, fromerly of Toronto, Canada, will relocate to New York. Andy and his wife, Mary Carroll, will reside in Manhattan. A veteran professional in the insurance industry, Mr. Tatar was formerly associated with Confederation Life. He brings to the William Penn a wealth of knowledge and financial planning experience. His address will be supplied in our next issue. It was in June 1981, that we opened our first sales and service office in Homestead, Pa. One year later, in June 1 982, we opened our second sales and service center in the Cleveland area. Both agencies have performed far above our expectations. Members appreciate the service our professionally trained associates offer. This appreciation is best expressed by our current members' purchase of our new insurance products and tax-sheltered annuities in large amounts. These same members have willingly and helpfully Once again we are going back to the Detroit area for our 1 983 Bowling Tournament, a city where we have had fine hosts and where all the bowlers and their friends have had a good time. We certainly look forward to a real good time this year, too. The headquarters hotel will be the Hyatt Regency, Dearborn, which is close to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum, thus those who participate in the Tournament will have an opportunity to do some sightseeing on this visit to Detroit. The Thunderbowl Lanes, 4200 Allen Road, Allen Park, Michigan, have again been contracted for the actual bowling tournament. The host branch will be Branch 18. Stephen Danko, who is also President of Branch 18, is making preparations to assure everyone a fine welcome. The Administrators inform me that entry forms, rules and regulations, room reservation information, banquet, dance, etc., has referred us to relatives, friends and acquaintances who have also become William Penn members. There's a big benefit for you, too. Alex Hody and Andy Tatar, in the New Jersey and New York areas, can help you better understand your present William Penn certificates, introduce you to our new products and services, make you more aware and appreciative of the fraternal benefits available with William Penn membership and help you in financial planning for your future. Greet our new associates, Alex and Andy, with the same warm welcome our Pittsburgh and Cleveland representatives received. We know you will be glad you did. They will serve you well. been mailed out to all branches and team captains. The banquet will be held Saturday, May 28, 1983. Dance will follow with music by Frank Borisz and his orchestra from Cleveland, Ohio. They will play dinner music from 6-8:00 and dance music from 9-1:00. The Borisz orchestra is very popular in the mid-west and we are anticipating that he will really put on a performance which only he can do. William Penn Association Scholarship Foundation's annual meeting will be held Friday evening in the Hyatt Regency at 6:00 P.M. The meeting room will be posted on the hotel bulletin board. Bowling will be Saturday morning for team events and Sunday, May 29 will be the Singles and Doubles. Indications are that there will be a large representation of bowling teams from the various branches. We urge those branches, which some years ago sent teams, to again send a contingent to Detroit. All branches are requested to get their banquet and hotel room forms back as soon as possible thereby making the scheduling easier. Looking forward to seeing many of the bowlers in Detroit.
