73) Mr. Charles was deeply touched by this resolution. He stated he has no yesterday, time took them away. Tomorrow may not be, but I have a beautiful day today. Thank you very much and may God bless you all. 74) Vice President Albert J. Stelkovics moved that the following persons, in recognition for their time and service to this convention, be allotted an honorarium of $150.00 each. Rev. Imre Kovács, Rev. Alex Kovács, Monsignor Basil Sereghy, Father Paul Bolvary and Rev. Louis Illés. This motion was seconded and adopted by the delegates. 75) Director Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., moved and it was seconded and authorized by the delegates that the National President and Chairman of the Convention Elmer Charles, Vice Chairman John P. Balia, Vice Chair­man Albert J. Stelkovics, Secretary of the Convention Frank J. Radvany and Parliamentarian and General Counsel Gay B. Banes and National Secretary Gus G. Nagy, each receive an honorarium of $500.00 for the work they performed at this conven­tion. It was further authorized that the National Officers shall take care of the home office employees who worked in preparation for this con­vention. Mr. Charles thanked the home office employees for their fine cooperation in preparing for this con­# vention. 76) Director Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., moved, it was seconded and authorized by the delegates that members of all committees receive an honorarium of $100.00 each for their services rendered. This would include Credentials Committee, Resolutions Committee, Nominating Committee, Election Committee, Banquet Committee, Sergeant at Arms and the Picnic Committee who worked so diligently at Camp Rolling Hills, Mt. St. George on Sunday. 77) It was further moved, seconded and authorized by the delegates that a donation of $500.00 be made to the Home located at Mt. St. George, Wellsburg, W. Va. 78) Chairman of the Election Committee John McCarthy, in­formed the delegates that balloting has concluded and he announced the following results. There were 122 possible votes. One delegate was absent due to illness, therefore, there were 121 ballots cast. No ballots were voided. 40 The following 12 persons were elected to the Board of Directors: 1. Zoltán Emri 93 votes 2. Mr. Tomchak won the toss, therefore Michael Tomchak will be the first alternate director and Geza Lang will be the second alternate director. Chairman McCarthy announced the results of election for Alternate Auditing Committee members as follows: 1. William Kovach 72 votes 2. Stephen P. Danko 64 votes 3. Joseph Hamari 59 votes Chairman McCarthy thanked his committee for the fine job they per­formed. Members of the committee were James Beganyi, James Burin­­da, Zoltán Cibulas, Joseph Hodich, Mary Miller and Louis Kubus. 79) It was moved, seconded and the convention delegates accepted the election report of the election committee. Ml 4819 5 80) Delegate Ronald Balia thanked the delegates for the sup­port he received in the election. 81) President Charles called the roll of National Officers, newly elected Board of Directors and Auditing Committee members to come forth to take the oath of office. 82) Director Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., proceeded to install the newly elected National Officers, Board of Directors and Auditing Committee members. 83) Chairman Charles con­gratulated all the newly elected Na­tional Officers, Board of Directors and Auditing Committee members. He extended Best Wishes to them. He. expressed thanks to the delegates for their cooperation, their understanding and dedication for the Association. To the new retirees from the Board of Directors he stated there are two things which are essential for a happy retirement, "Much to live on and much to live for." A man cannot retire his ex­perience. He must use it. The con­vention granted this to the Advisory Board members. Mr. Charles stated that, "To rest is to rust." We all have our responsibilities and he will be looking forward to a blessed, successful four years. 84) Chairman Charles called upon Rev. Louis Hies to offer the benediction for the delegates. 85) Rev. Hies offered a prayer first in the Hungarian language, then in the German language and finally closed his prayer in the English language. 86) Mr. Charles called for a short Board meeting following the close of the convention.
