Fraternally yours, Steve Szemes Branch 1 29 Columbus, Ohio The annual Family Christmas Party which was held at the V.F.W. Club home on December, 13 was a resound­ing success. Mr. David George, Branch president, opened the event with a welcome message. A short program then followed with refreshments being served and a memorable visit by Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, who brought candy and gifts to all the children. J. Wukovits, Sr. giving the welcome and usual greetings in behalf of the Home Office and Branch 132 Officers and Directors. Next the singing of Christmas carols began and were led by choresters, Karen S. Wukovits, Christopher Wentland, Mark Wentland, and Chad Minnick, accom­panied on the piano by Kathleen Wukovits. Everyone joined in the sing­ing. This year, instead of the usual Christmas films, the children and their families were entertained by a national professional magician, Alexander-the- Great. For the next hour he had us all amazed with his delightful magical tricks, and after which Christmas carols were sung until the arrival of Santa Claus, in the person of Frank Farkas, Sr. Santa greeted the children with his Ho-ho-ho’s and gave each of them Christmas stockings filled with candy and a small toy and each of the children had the choice of a beautiful toy or game. Door prizes were also on the agenda and beautiful stuffed toys were won by, 1st Prize to Corky Long; 2nd Prize George and Mary Colemanare cur­rently on the ailing list and we wish them both a speedy recovery.
