25) Director Danko extended an invitation for the 1983 bowling tournament to be hosted by Branch 18, Detroit, Michigan. This matter was referred by the Board of Direc­tors to the Executive Committee for further consideration. 26) Mr. Richard P. Smith sub­mitted his verbal report on the prog­ress he is making in setting up a sales agency in the Pittsburgh area. He has met with the Field Commit­tee and submitted a new product to be approved for sale. To date he has prepared an agent's manual and a Manager's Manual. He has a group of four men and another group of eight men who will be ready to start as of June 15. Mr. Smith also reported that he is starting a training session on June 15, 1981 and he expects approximately 16 persons to attend this training program. The Board acknowledged the report of Mr. Richard P. Smith. 27) It was moved, seconded and adopted by the Board that the Ex­ecutive Committee discuss and. come forth with recommendation for arranging a banquet to celebrate the merger of the American Hungarian Catholic Society with William Penn Association. 28) Director Danko reported that Branch 18, Detroit, Michigan will be celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the William Penn Association with a banquet to be held at the Hungarian Reformed Church Hall in Allen Park, Michigan on Sunday, August 23, 1981 at 1:30 P.M. Director Danko extended a cordial invitation to the Board of Directors, and National Of­ficers to attend this event. 29) Vice President Balia recessed the meeting at 4:30 P.M. 30) Chairman Charles recon­vened the meeting at 9:30 A.M. and same are present. 31) Secretary of the Board Frank J. Radvany read the Minutes of Tuesday's Meeting. It was moved, seconded and accepted as cor­rected. 32) President Charles submitted a lengthy verbal report to the Board of Directors. The Secretary of the Board Frank J. Radvany also read a comprehensive report prepared by Frances A. Furedy, secretary to the President, pertaining to the entire in­ternal operation of the Association. Many topics were discussed by the Board members pertaining to the Field Operation and the office of Act­ing Secretary. Following a lengthy discussion of this subject, Acting Secretary Stephen Szilagyi sub­mitted his resignation from the William Penn Association effective June 30, 1981. The Board of Direc­tors unanimously accepted the resignation of Mr. Szilagyi and granted him a salary continuance, with fringe benefits, until December 31, 1981. 33) It was authorized by the Board that the Executive Committee devote more than two days in order to complete their business assigned to them by the Board. 34) It was moved, seconded and the Board adopted the following resolution pertaining to Premium Payments: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the By-Laws of the Association provides in Chapter VII, Section 8, that the mode and time of premium payment shall be estab­lished from time to time by the Board of Directors, and WHEREAS, postage has increased since the first of the year, and will again increase before the end of the year, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the William Penn Association in regular meeting assembled at Pitts­burgh, Pennsylvania, this 10th day of June, 1981, that the minimum premium payments having due date of September 1, 1981 or thereafter, be as follows: Said notice to be published in the next issue (Summer) of the Official Publication. 35) The Board of Directors acknowledged a report by Director Danko pertaining to meeting with the Bowlers in Chicago with reference to raising funds, through Branch wide 50/50 raffle, to in­crease the prize monies for the bowl­ing tournament. This matter was referred to the Executive Committee and Legal Counsel for further con­sideration and a report is to be sub­mitted to the Board. 36) The Board acknowledged receipt of a letter from the Eighth Tribe Foundation, Hungarian Cultural Institute of Ligonier, Pa., re­questing financial and moral support of the William Penn Association for a Not To Worry . . . Don’t panic just because you or someone in your family has to consult a doctor. Chances are, says the Health Insurance Institute, that the trip will turn out to mean little more than get­ting some medical advice and a drug prescription. According to the Institute, about half of all visits to a doctor are listed as “not serious,” while less than 1 in 5 are considered as either “serious” or “very serious.” Conference on our Hungarian Heritage on August 20, 21 and 22, 1981 in Ligonier, Pa. This matter was referred to the Executive Com­mittee for further consideration. 37) Letters of thanks were acknowledged by the Board of Direc­tors from the following: Mary and Albert J. Stelkovics, former National Secretary-Treasurer. John Sabo, National Director. Margaret M. Balaban and family. Coloman R. Bertalan, Br. 45, Cleveland, Ohio. András and Mary Boros-Kazai, In­diana University, Department of Uralic and Altaic Studies. 38) Due to the resignation of Act­ing Secretary Szilagyi, former Na­tional Secretary-Treasurer Albert J. Stelkovics offered his services on a part-time basis as Acting Secretary to the Association until the next Ex­ecutive Committee meets and ap­points an Acting Secretary. 39) President Charles thanked the Board of Directors for its pa­tience and concern for the Associa­tion. It has been a very difficult meeting, but feels the decisions brought forth will be for the best in­terest of the Association. He bid a safe journey to the Board members on their return to their homes. 40) The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 12:15 P.M. Respectfully submitted: Frank J.
