After the details have been worked out, the Branches will be notified and urged to cooperate and participate. As usual, the highlight of the weekend had to be the Dinner- Dance. More than 600 guests were present to enjoy a fine meal, profes­sionally served by the Hyatt catering staff. Invocation was offered by Bishop Desmond Parragh, Calvin Synod and Benediction was offered by Dr. Gilbert Mihályi, Canon, Pastor of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. The National Anthem was led by Acting Secretary, Stephen Szilagyi. There was a fine program of enter­tainment. For the first time and to the satisfaction of all in attendance, the official family members and their spouses were not individually in­troduced; instead, Mr. Gus G. Nagy asked all to stand to be recognized. Greetings were extended on behalf of the Association by Mr. Elmer Charles, National President. He did individually introduce past National President, Julius Macker; past National Treasurer, Julius E. Somogyi and Mrs. Somogyi; also retired National Secretary-Treasurer and Mrs. Albert J. Stelkovics. Mr. Paul Varga then took over as M.C. for the entertainment portion of the program. It was heart warm­ing to see to many talented William Penn members perform. The thunderous applause each perform­ance received was well deserved. First to perform were Jennifer Szatmári and Robert Kantor, members of the Branch 1 8 Hungarian dancers. Jennifer is the granddaughter of Director and Mrs. Stephen Danko; Robert is the grand­son of Mrs. Mary Kolish, Manager of Branch 500 in Detroit. Also perform­(Continued on Page 10) 37.
