Minutes of The Board of Directors Quarteriy Meeting Excerpts from Minutes of the Fourth Quarterly Meeting of the Board of Directors of the William Penn Association held on Monday, December 15, 1980 in the Board Room of the Home Office, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 1) National President and Chairman of the Board, Elmer Charles, opened the meeting at 10:00 A.M. He welcomed the Board of Directors and National Officers to this meeting. He stated this is the time of the year when it is the holiday season of joy, the holiday season of appreciation and the holiday season for caring. He believes this holiday season will have many things to be joyful about. We think very much about Peace On Earth and Goodwill to Men. This has been the feeling for many years. He knows the story about the Three Wise Men. Mr. Charles states he feels that he is surrounded by Wise Men here at the Association. The Wise Men had a vision. We today should pay attention to the story of the Wise Men and take heed that we as leaders of the Association should look ahead and have a little more vision, a little more wisdom, because this is what we need mostly. We need to ask all our Brothers and members of other societies to join with us because we love them. We should concentrate on bringing all Hungarians together and may the year 1 981 be witness to such an event. He wished everyone a Blessed Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 1981. Mr. Charles reported that the Agenda is prepared and we will have decisions to make. (Continued front Page 21) Bogár. Stephen, Jr. Kery. Rose Markowski. Stanley 127 JOLIET, ILL. Huemann. Gregg, Edward J. the turkey and the feast, but its true meaning is Thanksgiving to God by a grateful few Pilgrims in 1621 for helping and preserving them through a turbulent year. We too must be thankful to God even though we have not now suffered great hardships. We should be thankful for our everyday health, our prosperity, for the love of our families and the kindness of our friends. Lord, we as William Penn trustees are thankful now and everyday for Thy many blessings and particularly for the opportunity to serve You and our many members. December is Christmas, the time of Love and Hope and Peace. Love Thy neighbor as Thy Self. This is the greatest of all Commandments and the Golden Rule. Lord, it is not always easy to Love, but help us to Love for it was the Love of our parents and forebearers toward their neighbors that initiated our William Penn Society. Hope for a better world as proclaimed by Thy Son. By our strength and faith in Thee, we will not despair, for we live in hope that one day we will stop our fussing and fighting and solve the most illusive problem, of one man functioning with another. Peace on Earth, Goodwill towards Men. This was the reason for Christ the Saviour for Christmas. Peace is the sum of Love and understanding of self sacrifice and righteousness. It seems so simple and it is the most desirable wish of all people, yet so complex. Because of our complete faith in You Lord, there will eventually be Peace on Earth. Lord, direct our hearts in the way of Peace and Justice and ignite the Spirit of Peace through love within ourselves, our Associaton and our Country. Amen. 4) Secretary of the Board, Frank J.
