On Sunday, December 7, we had our first Annual Family Christmas Party which started with lunch for all who at­tended. Following lunch, the children were entertained by Jorjie, Fie even got the adults involved in his act. But the highlight of the day was Santa Claus. I Branch 1 6 Perth Amboy, N.J. I would like to thank my committee who without their help, the party could not have been such a success. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hrabar, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mészáros, Miss Annette Hrabar and Mr. George Mirkovich. At our regular monthly meeting the following were elected Officers for the coming year: Michael Hrabar, Presi­dent; Steve Mészáros, Vice President; A1 Kreger, Treasurer; George Mirkovich, Secretary; Mrs. Nancy Mészáros and Miss Annette Hrabar, Auditors and Mrs. Michaelene Mirkovich, Reporter. The election of Officers for the year 1981 was held on Monday, December 1st, 1980 at the Bayard Street Pres­byterian Church Hall at which time all incumbents were re-elected. Re-elected were: Joseph Arvay, President; Elizabeth Gyorgydeak, Vice President; Irene Evans, Treasurer; Barbara Hegedűs, Secretary; Alex Horvath, Anthony Vass and Ruth Vasvary, Auditors. National Director, Michael Hegedűs conducted the Installation. Our Christmas Party was held on Saturday afternoon, December 6th at the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church Hall with approximately 200 in attend­ance. Branch President Joseph Arvay welcomed everyone and then intro­duced National Director, Michael Hegedűs who greeted everyone and ex­tended Season’s Greetings and wished everyone an enjoyable afternoon. A magician-clown entertained for about an hour after which Rev. Joseph Bodnar led the assemblage in the sing­ing of Christmas Carols with accom­paniment on the accordion by member Helen Nemeth. Santa Claus then ar­rived. Gifts and candy were presented to each child. Afterwards everyone en­joyed a buffet and refreshments. Many thanks to all who helped make the party a success.
