Two Land Tours In Hungary Those who will participate in the William Penn Association 1980 Tour to Hungary may select one of two Land Tours arranged by the Magyarok Világszövetsége, details are as follows: TOUR OF TRANSDANUBIA — Dunántúl August 6-12, 1980 — Six Days August 6 — Wednesday Leave Budapest 8:30 Á.M. via Szentendre, Visegrád. to Esztergom. In Esztergom visit the Basilica and view the Ecclesiastical Treasurer. Lunch at 1 P.M. in restaurant of Fürdő Hotel. After lunch, travel on to Győr. via Komárom. Dinner at 7 P.M. in the Hotel Rába dining room. Stay two nights at the Hotel Rába. August 7 — Thursday Following breakfast, sightseeing in Győr, then proceed to Pannonhalma and tour its famous mountaintop Abbey. Then leave for Fertőd. Lunch at Kapuvár about 12:30 P.M., in Hotel Hanság. In Fertőd tour the Eszterházy Castle, then return to Győr. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Hotel Rába. August 8 — Friday After breakfast leave Győr via Csorna, and Szombathely to Kőszeg. Sightseeing in Kőszeg. Lunch at 12 noon in the Irottkő restaurant. Following lunch, bathing in the thermal baths of Bükk. Later visit the famous church of Ják. Dinner at 7 P.M. in the Hotel Claudius. Szombathely. Stay at Hotel Claudius. August 9 — Saturday Leave for Sárvár, after breakfast tour the Castle, then travel via Sümeg to Keszthely. 12:30 luncheon at the Helikon Hotel. Visit Hévíz in the afternoon, then witness the reenactment of a BETYÁR BURIAL at the Tavern of Rez. Dinner in the Tavern, stay at Hotel Helikon two nights. August 10 — Sunday Sightseeing in Keszthely after breakfast, then sightseeing in Tapolca and Badacsony. Luncheon in the Hableány restaurant in Badacsony, then return to Keszthely. In the afternoon bathing in Lake Balaton. In the event of inclement weather, there will he instead a tour of the Abbey at Tihany and visit the resort City of Balatonfiired. Dinner at 6:30 P.M. in the Hotel Helikon. August 11 — Monday After breakfast, travel on to Simontornya, via Fonyod- Zamard-Enying. In Simontornya tour the Fort, attend a horseshovv, see a roundup of horses, and there will be opportunity for horseback riding and horse and carriage rides. Luncheon will be at Wine Cellar Row in Simontornya. Then the tour will travel on to Dunaújváros for sightseeing and refreshments. Arrival time in Budapest will be approximately 6 P.M. Dinner will be served at 7 P.M. in a Hotel yet to be assigned. Breakfast will be served on Tuesday, August 12th in the same hotel. LANDTOUR OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN HUNGARY August 6-14, 1980 — 9 Days August 6 — Wednesday Leave Budapest at 8 A.M. via Hatvan and Gyöngyös to Eger. Sightseeing in Eger — Fort, Dobo Museum, Cathedral, etc. Lunch 1 P.M. in Hotel Park dining room. From 3 P.M. visit the State winery with wine sampling. 4 P.M. leave for Miskolc-Tapolca via the Bükk mountain road. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Hotel Juno. Stay at Hotel Juno two nights. August 7 — Thursday After breakfast on to Szilvasvárda where Lippiczaner horses can be seen. Lunch in Szilvasvárda. After lunch tour to Affteleki and the famous Stelactite Caves. Dinner 7 P.M. Hotel Juno. August 8 — Friday After breakfast leave for Sárospatak via Szerencs. Visit Rákóczi Castle in Sárospatak. Lunch at 12 noon in dining room of Borostyán Hotel. After lunch on to Debreczen via Tokaj and Nyíregyháza, on the way wine sampling of famous Tokaj wine. Dinner 7 P.M. in Hotel Aranybika. Stay at Aranybika Hotel two nights. August 9 — Saturday After breakfast tour to famous Hortobágy plains. Horseshow, horseback riding, etc. Lunch in the Csárda — Tavern. In the afternoon sightseeing in Debreczen. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Aranybika Hotel. August 10 — Sunday Leave Debreczen after breakfast for Gyula. Visit the Fort. Lunch at noon in the Park dining room. In the afternoon bathing in the thermal baths. At 5 P.M. on to Szeged via Orosháza. Dinner at 7 P.M. in dining room of Hotel Hungária in Szeged. Stay two nights in Hotel Hungária. August 11 — Monday After breakfast tour City of Szeged including the Mora Museum. Lunch at 12:30 P.M. in Hotel Hungária dining room. In the afternoon swimming and free time. If weather is inclement then a trip will be arranged to Pusztaszer. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Hotel Hungária. August 12 — Tuesday After breakfast leave for Pécs via Baja. Lunch at Fishermans Tavern at Mohács. After lunch tour the historical site of Mohács battlefield. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Hotel Pannónia, Pécs. Stay at Hotel Pannónia two nights. August 13 — Wednesday After breakfast tour City of Pécs. Lunch at 1 P.M. in Pannónia Hotel. Trip to Szekszárd after lunch and at 5:30 P.M. attend the famous Decsi Artists Ensemble program with Csárdás competition. Dinner in Decs then return to Pécs about 9:30 P.M. August 14 — Thursday After breakfast leave for Siófok, on Balaton, via Dombóvár and Tamasi. Bathing in Balaton. Dinner at 7 P.M. in Budapest. Hotel to be selected.
