Branch 51 Passaic, N.J. The general meeting for the election of Officers and Auditors for Branch 51, Passaic, N.J. was held on December 3, 1978 and the following members were re-elected to office: President, Andrew Nemeth; Vice President, Sándor Lakatos; Treasurer, Frank Zimmermann; Secretary, Ernest Mozer; Auditors, Mrs. Helen Lakatos and Joseph Baumbartner. The Officers of the Branch wish to thank all the membership for their help and support in the past year. Our joyous Christmas Party for our Branch children and their parents was held on December 10, 1978. Entertainment consisted of movies followed by the singing of Christmas Carols by the children and guests of the Branch. Vice President A. Lakatos, Santa and some of the Branch 51 children. Santa (Steve Klics) made his entrance during the singing of “Jingle Bells’’, thrilling the children with his hearty HO HO’s and presentation of gifts to them. Refreshments were served afterwards for the children and their parents with the wonderful assistance of the wives of the Officers and Branch members. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all present. If for some reason you were unable to attend this year’s Christmas Party, please make every effort to attend next year’s affair. If anyone knows that a member isn’t receiving a copy of the William Penn publication, please contact any Officer of the Branch and we’ll see to it that he surely gets a copy of the next edition. You’ll find it a very informative publication. At this time we’d like to welcome Dorian ‘Skip’ Price and Carl Carimelle to the William Penn Association representing Branch 51. Their knowledge and experience in the insurance field is excellent and will be glad to advise you on either your existing policies, new policies or additional insurance. ‘Skip’ can be reached at area code (201) 791-4150 and Carl at area code (212) 347-8244. They are ready and very capable of assisting in any insurance matters. Our Children’s Christmas Party was a successful event, held Sunday December 10, 1978 in the K of C Hall, Windber, Pa. Each child attending paid a personal visit to Santa Claus and received a gift of candy and carol book. Refreshments were served and each child also received a silver dollar. Those assisting at the arrangements and serving were: Mr. and Mrs. John Orris, Barbara Horner, Mary Gall and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Gall. Katie Gall Reporter 9
