Mr. David George, District Secretary for District No. 23 appointed the following members as nominating committee to select Delegates and Alternates for the upcoming National Convention: They are John Gaal, Irene Voss and Charles Boso. The committee held their meeting following the regular Branch meeting and have presented the names of Mr. David George and Mr. Louis Miller as Delegates; and Mr. John Gaal and Mr. Charles Boso as Alternates. We hereby wish to inform all members of the designated District No. 23 that the meeting to select the Delegates to the National Convention will be held at the William Penn Association Office, 1501 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio on Wednes­day, May 16, 1979 at 7:30 P.M. at w hich time nominations will he also ac­cepted from those in attendance. The members of Branch 141, Ellwood City mourn the passing of Mrs. Martha Bokor, wife of John Bokor, Manager of Branch 141. Mrs. Bokor was born in Erdély (Tran­sylvania) September 1901. She was a member of Ellport United Presbyterian Church, William Penn Association and the Ellwood City Hungarian Women’s Club. MRS MARTHA BOKOR She is survived by her husband, John, with whom she was married in March 1919, two daughters, Mrs. Louis Pocza and Mrs. Edison Black, two sons John Jr. and George J. Bokor, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr. John Sabo, Director and Mr. Gus G. Nagy Vice President represented the Home Office at the funeral services. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved family. Branch 226 McKeesport, Pa. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Elmer Charles, National President has appointed Barbara Banes Botkin, Manager of Branch 226, McKeesport, Pa. effective March 1, 1979. Mrs. Botkin has in recent weeks taken an ac­tive part in the William Penn member­ship campaign. She hopes to bring even more members into the Association in the near future. Mrs. Botkin resides at 2438 Botkin Place, McKeesport, Pa. 15135. Telephone (412) 751-0008. Daughter of our own General Counsel and Mrs. Gay B. Banes, Mrs. Botkin is presently a housewife and mother. However, she also assists her husband Les, on a part time basis, in the golf and tennis shops at the Youghiogheny Country Club, where he is head Golf Professional. Prior to 1977, Mrs. Botkin was a fashion manager for 31/2 years at Montgomery Ward in Butler, Pa. She was also an investment salesperson for Investors Diversified Services for a short time after her marriage in 1973. Mrs. Botkin is an active member of Central Presbyterian Church in McKeesport, Pa. She is also a member of the McKeesport College Club. She is a 1973 honor graduate of Bethany Col­lege, West Virginia where she majored in Communications. The Botkins reside in Elizabeth Township with daughter, Sara, 20 months old. Branch 296 bowlers are preparing to take top prizes at the 36th National Bowling Tournament. Many members of Branch 296 look forward to serving on the National Bowling Tournament Committee. Weekly disco dancing lessons are be­ing conducted for Branch 296 members every Wednesday night at the William Penn Room in United Church of Christ, Springdale, Pa. by Ruth Shenosky and Nick Lenosky. Come join us. We will have a Hungarian Picnic at the Assumption Catholic Church Pic­nic Grounds in Leechburgh, Pa. on August 5, 1979. Music will be by Mickey Schwartz.
