George Washington AwardsDinner . . . tions and academic programs in Hungarian studies, fellowships and research at American universities and colleges. A major, current American Bicentennial related project of the Foundation is to publish the history of the Hungarian pioneers and immigrants and their families in the United States and to relate their contributions to American life since colonial days. A Rockefeller Foundation grant supports this project. The Foundation plans to erect a “Hungarian Heritage Center” with a museum and library. The center will aid the study of Hungarian culture as well as serve in researching the contributions made by persons of Hungarian origin to American life since 1776. A Hungarian library and museum collection including rare books and manuscripts is maintained by the Foundation. The national offices of the American Hungarian Foundation are at 177 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Representing the William Penn Association at the Awards Dinner were Mr. Louis L. Zoltán Merszei, President of the Dow Chemical Company, and Tibor Serly, composer, conductor and a contemporary master received the 1976 George Washington awards of the American Hungarian Foundation at a dinner given recently at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Presented annually by the American Hungarian Foundation, the award recognizes contributions to research, human knowledge, the arts and understanding among men and nations. The Foundation is embarking upon its third decade of development. A nonprofit organization, it is devoted to furthering the understanding and appreciation of Hungarian culture and historical heritage in the United States. Welcome Rubin Minowitz Our latest addition to the growing list of General Agents includes Rubin (‘Ruby’) Minowitz, serving New York City and Northern New Jersey covering Passaic, Newark and other nearby towns. Ruby has a professional background with excellent credentials. He is a Fraternal Insurance Counselor, which assures our members of his personal interest in their insurance needs and estate planning. He is the recipient of many awards, including President’s Citations as well as Agency Builder Awards, prior to his association with William Penn. With this much knowledge and professional excellence under his belt, he is a welcomed asset to our field force. 4
